Employment experience

From paper-based QA to connected reporting

Digital quality reporting and a franchise portal, with different views for staff, managers and oversight.

← Back to work & examples
Based on Adam’s employment as Quality Officer at Cardiff and Vale College, November 2022 to August 2024. This is employment experience, not a DiceKey client commission. Visuals are illustrative.
The starting point

The work needed
a clearer structure.

Paper-based quality processes and an Access application made sharing, permissions and consistent reporting difficult.

Adam designed digital reporting tools, Power BI dashboards and an Access-to-Dataverse migration with Power Apps as the franchise portal. Staff received training and written guides.

The approach

Make the connections useful.

Structure the evidence

A unified digital reporting approach brought the requirements of several quality frameworks together.

Move to a suitable platform

Dataverse and Power Apps supported shared franchise submissions and a live quality view.

Help people use it

Different audiences received the information, training and written guidance relevant to their work.

What changed

A more practical
way to work.

A live compliance view, more accessible evidence and reporting that supported a successful Estyn inspection.
